Why Download This Publication?
This publication introduces a new constitutional model for governing scholarly evidence in the age of artificial intelligence. Rather than treating literature reviews as one-time academic exercises, the WLRS establishes a framework for preserving, organizing, and reusing scholarly evidence as permanent intellectual assets across multiple research projects.
The Whiteside Literature Review Standard (WLRS) v2.0 introduces a constitutional approach to literature review governance. Rather than treating scholarly sources as one-time citations, WLRS presents a structured framework for managing evidence as permanent intellectual assets that can be reused across dissertations, journal articles, conference papers, books, executive education, and future research projects.
As the inaugural publication in the Whiteside Research Governance Series (WGRS), this working paper establishes the foundational governance principles for acquiring, evaluating, organizing, preserving, and reusing scholarly evidence throughout its lifecycle.
